Libec LX10M

The Libec LX Series is a new line of video stats that builds on the popularity and popular features of the previous LS Series. The new LX Series has been created by reworking the most basic features and introduces a completely new tripod that has a number of useful improvements. The main changes to the LX10 Series (e.g. compared to the LX5 and LX7 Series) are the 100mm hemisphere, adjustable head stiffness and more massive tripod legs.

The Libec LX10 M is a tripod system for cameras up to 16 kg: the LX10 head with a 100 mm ball, two-step drag and a sliding plate, the two-stage RT50B tripod and the BR-6B mid-level spreader with FP-2B large rubber feet. The system weighs 7.4 kg and adjusts from 83 to 171.5 cm.

LX10 head for 16 kg

The fixed-counterbalance head carries up to 16 kg, and pan and tilt drag switch between two steps to suit the camera weight. The plate attaches with two 3/8" screws and slides ±50 mm.

RT50B tripod with 100 mm bowl

According to Libec, the LX series combines high payload and rigidity with very smooth torque performance at a great price. The two-stage RT50B tripod holds the head in a 100 mm bowl.

BR-6B mid-level spreader

The mid-level spreader keeps the legs at a fixed spread and the large FP-2B rubber feet give a firm footing. The whole system fits into the RC-50 carrying case.

For light studios and OB work

Libec designed the LX10 series for lightweight studios and outside broadcasting. A multilayered metal drag unit with fine silicone grease gives smooth starts and stops.

Set pan and tilt drag to suit the weight of the camera rig.

The head works from −20 to +60 °C and has a bubble level.

The fixed counterbalance guarantees the same head resistance when working and thanks to the sophisticated design, the LX10 tripod has very similar characteristics even in different temperatures or outdoors/indoors. The tripod's load capacity makes it ideal for a large number of smaller handycam HDV, XDCAM EX, P2 or AVCHD cameras. The Libec LX10 is a fully featured tripod leg and video head set that offers videographers and documentarians similar control to higher-end pro video tripods, but at a more affordable price. In addition, the LX10 Studio version is designed for studio use and thanks to two adjustable handles, lens controls (zoom, focus,...) can be attached to the tripod. A wheeled base is also standard on this version for convenient moving of a fully loaded tripod.
