Libec HS-450 (Floor Spreader)

The Libec HS-450 is a tripod system for video cameras up to 12 kg: the H45 fluid head with continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance, the 2-stage aluminium RT40RB tripod, the SP-2B floor spreader and the RC-50 carrying case. The system weighs 6.8 kg and adjusts from 63 to 173 cm.

Balanced at any angle

Continuous Perfect Balance counterbalance keeps the camera balanced at any tilt angle across a 4.5 to 10.5 kg range. An illuminated meter on the back of the head shows the setting.

Dual head base

The H45 head mounts on a 75 mm bowl tripod as well as on a flat base, so it also fits sliders and dollies. The camera plate attaches with a single touch.

Everything in one case

The system comes with the RC-50 carrying case, so head, tripod and spreader travel together. You carry the whole kit as a single piece of luggage.

Planted firmly with a floor spreader

The SP-2B floor spreader keeps the legs of the 2-stage aluminium RT40RB tripod at ground level, so the system goes as low as 63 cm and up to 173 cm. The whole system weighs 6.8 kg.

3-step drag

A multilayered metal drag system offers a free position plus three steps for pan and tilt.

Tilt +90° to −70°

The head works from −40 to +60 °C and has an illuminated bubble level.

Long plate included

Besides the ±30 mm sliding plate (Manfrotto, Sachtler), a Long Plate S is included.

The head base has 1/4" and 3/8" holes for an arm with a monitor or light.

Libec announced the HS Series, a brand new collection of fluid heads and tripod systems. While succeeding with the fundamental concept of the Libec RS Series, the HS Series has newly designed fluid heads with enhanced user friendly features such as the built-in Perfect Balance System, which enables the camera to be precisely balanced at any tilt angle. With this new HS Series, there are 4 fluid head models (H15, H25, H35, and H45 with 3, 5, 8, 12 kg payload capacities), each designed with a wide counterbalance range. The base model head is designed to achieve Perfect Balance with even the lightest mirrorless camera configurations out there!

Counterbalance meter. A scale from 0 to 100 shows the strength of the inner spring, so balancing the camera on site takes a moment. Both the meter and the bubble level are illuminated.

Newly designed fluid head. The head was designed from scratch to reduce play in the pan and tilt drag units and extend its service life. Movements are smooth from start to finish.

Accessory port. The side of the head base has 1/4" and 3/8" holes for an arm with a monitor or light. Since they sit on the base, they do not affect the payload, centre of gravity or balance of the head.

Long Plate S. A long sliding plate, the Long Plate S, is included. The plate follows the industry standard and also fits the Libec TH-M, TH-X, TH-Z and NX Series.
