The Khronos Quick Release Filter Tray for iPhone 17 Pro Max (Space Gray) adds a filter holder to the Tilta Khronos or Khronos Lite case. It slides into the dedicated slot of the case and locks with a safety buckle; press the PRESS buckle to release it. It holds Khronos magnetic filters (FSND, Black Mist, White Mist). The case and the filter are not included.

The part slides into the dedicated slot of the Tilta Khronos or Khronos Lite case for iPhone 17 Pro Max and clicks into place. A safety buckle keeps it from sliding out while shooting; press the PRESS buckle and pull to remove it. The aluminium alloy construction adds almost no bulk to the case.

Khronos magnetic filters

The quick release tray is a rectangular magnetic frame that follows the shape of the iPhone camera island. It carries the Khronos magnetic filters — FSND (fixed neutral density from 0.3 to 2.4), Black Mist 1/4 and 1/2, and White Mist 1/4 and 1/2. Hold the filter close, the magnet aligns and holds it; swapping one takes a second, even mid-shoot.

Quick release versus the 58mm tray

Two different filter trays go into the case slot and their filters are not interchangeable. This one takes Khronos filters of the TK-IP range. If you own the circular Tilta 58mm filters (variable ND, polarizer with Black Mist), they belong on the 58mm filter tray, not this one.

A Khronos or Khronos Lite case for iPhone 17 Pro Max and at least one Khronos magnetic filter. Neither is included.

Four mounting systems — and how they differ

The Tilta Khronos and Khronos Lite cases for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have one dedicated slot above the camera. One part slides in, locks with a safety buckle and releases by pressing the PRESS buckle. Tilta offers four different parts for that slot and they are not interchangeable:

• T-Mount adapter — a bayonet for lenses with the Fotogear T-Series mount; the included spacer adds compatibility with Moment T-Series lenses. This is where the Tilta 8mm, 16mm, 40mm and 10x macro lenses go.
• K Series adapter — a bayonet for lenses with the K Series mount. T-Mount lenses do not fit it.
• 17mm thread adapter — the most widespread screw-in standard for phone lenses; the lens screws into the adapter.
• Filter tray — holds a filter, not a lens. The 58mm version takes Tilta 58mm circular magnetic filters, the quick release version takes Khronos magnetic filters (FSND, Black Mist, White Mist).

The parts are also tied to the phone model: a part for iPhone 17 Pro does not fit the iPhone 17 Pro Max and vice versa.
