Accsoon TopRig BP-A Battery Plate

Accsoon TopRig BP-A Battery Plate ACC-BC-08 is a lightweight power plate for Canon BP-A batteries. It provides USB-C PD output up to 30 W, USB-A up to 15 W and 12–16.8 V D-Tap up to 60 W; simultaneous outputs are limited to 60 W in total, with USB-C and USB-A sharing a 30 W limit. Its bidirectional USB-C port also charges the battery from a PD source at up to 20 W input. The 49.1 g plate mounts via a 1/4″-20 thread, the included cold shoe adapter or a compatible Accsoon PowerCage. A 30 cm USB-C to USB-C cable is included; the battery and mains charging supply are sold separately. Powered equipment must support the corresponding input voltage and power.

POWER FROM A BP-A BATTERY

A lightweight plate uses a Canon BP-A battery to power equipment through USB-C PD, USB-A and D-Tap. The same USB-C port also charges the attached battery.

USE YOUR BP-A BATTERY

The plate makes a compatible BP-A battery available to cameras and mobile equipment with suitable power inputs. Manufacturer examples include Canon R5 II, R5 C and R6 II, plus Sony, Panasonic and Fujifilm equipment; compatibility depends on the exact model, PD profile and power requirements. The plate itself is not a battery.

THREE PORTS AND PD CHARGING

D-Tap provides 12–16.8 V / 60 W, USB-C PD up to 30 W and USB-A up to 15 W according to the manufacturer manual. Combined output is limited to 60 W; USB-C and USB-A share 30 W. PD charging input is up to 20 W. At this input, the manufacturer quotes approximately 78 minutes for BP-A30 and 120 minutes for BP-A60; actual time depends on conditions.

THREAD, SHOE OR POWERCAGE

A 1/4″-20 thread and the included quick release cold shoe adapter allow mounting on a suitable camera rig or gimbal setup. Manufacturer material also shows PowerCage mini, PowerCage II and PowerCage Pro II use. Leave access to the ports and room to route the cable when mounting.

A LIGHT PLATE ON A GIMBAL

The ABS body measures 76.7 × 54.2 × 22.6 mm and weighs 49.1 g without a battery. Positioning power on a fixed part of the setup helps organise cabling; check balance and payload with the battery fitted. The manufacturer reports an 8,000 insertion contact test, not 8,000 battery charging cycles.

PLAN POWER FOR THE SHOT

Manufacturer illustrations show gimbal, time lapse and location workflows. Runtime depends on battery capacity and equipment draw. Four LEDs indicate battery status. Protection covers short circuits, overvoltage, undervoltage and controller overheating; after changing the battery, a USB-C device may need reconnecting or the plate may need resetting.

READY TO MOUNT

The package includes the plate, cold shoe mounting adapter, a 30 cm USB-C to USB-C cable and a manual. Press once to switch on, twice to switch off, or hold for 10 seconds to reset. Select a BP-A battery and suitable PD mains supply separately.
