Hollyland Syscom 421S Transmitter

The stand-alone Hollyland Syscom 421S transmitter adds another camera to a Syscom 421S system – the receiver works with up to four transmitters on one RF channel. It takes video via SDI or HDMI, transmits it up to 550 m with 0.07 s latency and has a 3.5 mm tally output, RS485/RS422 and LAN. It runs on 7–36 V, for example from an NP-F970 battery.

The Syscom 421S 2TX + 1RX kit starts with two cameras. Adding a third and fourth transmitter is simple: the channel is set on the receiver and the transmitters follow automatically, and the receiver puts each picture out on its own SDI and HDMI output.

Powered by NP-F batteries

The transmitter accepts 7–36 V DC; on the camera it runs on an NP-F970, U60 or a battery of the same series.

SDI and HDMI on both ends

Each transmitter has an SDI and an HDMI input plus a 3.5 mm tally output. The receiver outputs all four channels at once on four SDI and four HDMI outputs – straight to the switcher and to monitors.

Tally all the way to the camera

A tally light connects to the 3.5 mm TALLY output on the transmitter. The receiver links to a tally box via USB, and the tally box to the switcher with a D-Sub 25 cable – the switcher’s buttons then light up the lamps at the cameras.

Ethernet and RTSP stream

The LAN port on transmitter and receiver bridges the network wirelessly – for example an IP camera at the transmitter with the network in the gallery. The receiver can deliver an RTSP stream over LAN.

Additional information

This item is a single standalone transmitter, not a complete kit with a receiver. It adds another wireless HDMI or SDI source to an existing Syscom 421S system.

Hollyland lists package contents only for the Syscom 421S kits – each transmitter there comes with 5 GHz antennas, a 7-inch magic arm and a DC conversion cable. The manufacturer does not publish the contents of the standalone transmitter package.
