Paired with the high-performance X-Processor 4, the GFX 50S II produces 14-bit still images with minimal noise and superior clarity even in challenging lighting conditions. The expanded ISO range from 50 to 102400 allows photographers to work confidently in low light while maintaining image quality.

The camera features a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system (IBIS) capable of up to 6.5 stops of stabilization, enabling sharp handheld shots even at slower shutter speeds. This powerful stabilization makes medium format photography more flexible and accessible without the constant need for a tripod.

For precise focusing, the GFX 50S II incorporates a 117-point autofocus system enhanced by improved algorithms for face and eye detection, subject tracking, and accurate focusing even with the shallow depth of field typical of large-format sensors.

One of the standout features is Pixel Shift Multi-Shot, which captures 16 RAW images by shifting the sensor in tiny increments. These images can then be combined using Fujifilm software to create an incredibly detailed 200MP ultra-high-resolution image, making it ideal for archival photography, artwork reproduction, and professional studio work.

The camera body is constructed from high-strength magnesium alloy and sealed in 60 locations for resistance against dust, moisture, and temperatures as low as −10°C.
