Thunderbolt TX transmitter

The compact Thunderbolt TX transmitter weighs only about 197 g and measures 104 × 70 × 16 mm, so it mounts easily in a cage or on the camera. It has an HDMI input, an HDMI loop-out for the on-camera monitor and a USB-C port; it runs on an NP-F battery or USB-C (5 V / 2 A) and draws 2.5 W.

Auto-frequency hopping and smart anti-interference

It works in the 5 GHz band with flexible allocation of 20 MHz bandwidth. The built-in algorithm detects environmental interference in real time and switches to the best channel within 0.5 s, eliminating dropped connections and screen glitches.

Professional monitoring display

The 5.5-inch display covers 89.9% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and offers HDR monitoring with rich highlights and deep shadows. What you see is what you get, cutting down on unusable shots in post. 10-bit colour depth (8+2 FRC), 1200 nits peak brightness.

Full-process colour management, quick calibration on set

The built-in 3D LUT loader lets you drop in Log-to-Rec.709, cinematic style presets and other LUT files, so the monitor shows your final grade on set. HDR monitoring shows true contrast with bright highlights and deep shadows. Full waveform and vectorscope check brightness and colour shifts in real time, so you can nail exposure and colour settings with precision.

Knob and shortcut keys, dual control

A knob for fine-tuning and shortcut keys for instant mode switching operate just like the pro gear you are used to. You can use it blind in bright highlights or total darkness, so you stay focused on the shoot, not on the device. The display also supports touch control.

Triple power supply, run anytime and anywhere

Power it via DC, USB-C or an NP-F battery. One NP-F970 battery lasts over 6 hours. Plug in a power bank and it keeps running all day without a break.

The Thunderbolt TX supports 1080p60 lossless wireless video transmission using H.264 encoding over the 5 GHz band. With automatic frequency hopping, the system continuously scans for interference and switches channels in real time, eliminating signal drops and stutter. Latency between transmitter and receiver is approximately 60 ms.

The Thundermon RX (Plastic Housing) features a built-in 5.5-inch Full HD monitor with an 8+2 FRC panel, delivering up to 1200 nits peak brightness and 89.9% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. This ensures excellent visibility outdoors and accurate color representation. Professional monitoring tools such as waveform, vectorscope, false color, focus assist, HDR monitoring, and support for custom 3D LUTs allow precise exposure and color evaluation on set.
