Desview Core OL16 Ultra

The Desview Core OL16 Ultra 12G is a 16-inch AMOLED production monitor with 4K 3840 × 2400 resolution, 1200 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage for demanding broadcast and film workflows. It offers four 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, HDMI 2.0 input and output at 4K 60 Hz, a 12G SFP+ port for 4K 60p over fiber across 10–20 km, an 8K mode built from four 4K quadrants, RS-422 and GPI.

The Core series flagship for 12G and 8K. The Ultra 12G takes a 4K signal over a single 12G-SDI cable or optical fiber and handles four 4K quadrants in 8K mode. Like the MAX, it has a 16-inch AMOLED display, two V-mount plates and three 12 V power outputs for other gear.

A 3840 × 2400 AMOLED with 1.074 billion colors, 400 nits typical brightness and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio renders vivid, detailed, lifelike images including subtle color nuances.

4× 12G-SDI in and out

Four 12G-SDI inputs accept uncompressed 4K 60p over a single cable, and four SDI outputs pass the signal on to further monitors or a recorder.

RS-422, GPI and tally

The rear panel carries RS-422 IN and OUT, RJ45 GPI and tally ports, USB, HDMI 2.0 input and output, 4-pin XLR and DC power and two V-mount battery plates.

One fiber, zero loss

The 12G SFP+ port carries uncompressed 4K 60p with embedded audio and LTC timecode over a single fiber for up to 10–20 km.

3D and creative LUTs

Loads 3D LUTs from Calman, ColourSpace and other tools as well as creative LUTs to check exposure, skin tones and the look right on set.

Waveform and vectorscope

A finer waveform, histogram and vectorscope help you keep exposure, contrast and white balance in check in real time.

Anamorphic de-squeeze

1.33×, 1.6×, 2.0× and custom ratios restore the correct proportions of anamorphic footage without an external converter.

Loop-out ports

HDMI and SDI loop-outs pass the signal on to further monitors, so directing, camera, lighting and sound crews all watch the same picture.

Pro assist tools on demand

Histogram, waveform and vectorscope combined in one view show brightness distribution, contrast and white balance in real time, so camera operators can quickly judge exposure compensation and highlight and shadow detail and avoid over- or underexposure.

One screen, every angle

HDMI and SDI loop inputs and outputs daisy-chain further monitors without quality loss, so every crew station watches a synchronized feed with no latency or mismatch. In multi-view mode, a single display also shows several sources at once.

12G SFP+: one cable, zero loss

The 12G SFP+ port natively carries uncompressed 4K 60p – full 4K RGB 4:4:4 HDR video with embedded audio and LTC timecode – over a single fiber. It suits long-distance monitoring on studio floors, in OB vans, at live events and at remote camera positions, up to 10–20 km depending on the fiber cable.

8K ready: quad 4K in

Each of the four 12G-SDI inputs receives an independent 4K quadrant in standard Square Division (SQD) format. The camera outputs 4× 12G-SDI SQD, and the CCU or vision switcher stitches the four quadrants back into the complete 8K frame – one pipeline from capture to control room.

Power in, power out

The monitor is powered via 4-pin XLR or a locking 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC jack, and from batteries on its two V-mount plates in the field. Three locking 12 V DC outputs power cameras, transmitters and other gear on set.
