Canare L-2.5CHWS BLU coaxial 3G/HD-SDI cable, blue (per metre)

The Canare L-2.5CHWS is a flexible 75 Ω coaxial cable 4.2 mm in outer diameter for SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI, with a blue jacket. It is sold by the metre; the price shown is for one metre.

The Canare L-2.5CHWS belongs to the Mobile Coax series, which the manufacturer designed for mobile use. The center conductor is stranded, so the cable withstands repeated coiling and bending better than a solid-core coaxial cable, while its highly-foamed PE insulation keeps attenuation low.

The shield is a double braid with high coverage (95% and 94%), which keeps the signal clean even in noisy surroundings — in an OB van, on stage or in a cable bundle running next to mains power.

At 4,2 mm outer diameter it is the thinnest cable in the series. It suits camera and monitor links that are handled a lot and where a thicker coaxial cable would be in the way. The blue jacket makes it easy to tell runs apart in a bundle.

Per the SMPTE table the cable manages 53 m for HD-SDI and 54 m for 3G-SDI. It is sold cut to length; Canare crimp connectors for the 2.5CHWS diameter are used for termination.
