Canare L-2.5CHD GRN installation coaxial SDI cable, green (per metre)

The Canare L-2.5CHD is a 75 Ω installation coaxial cable 4,2 mm in outer diameter with a solid center conductor, intended for HD-SDI and 3G-SDI cabling. It is sold by the metre; the price shown is for one metre.

Canare designed the Super Coax series for HD-SDI and 3G-SDI over longer distances. The L-2.5CHD has a solid center conductor, multi-layer highly-foamed PE insulation and a shield of aluminium foil with a dense tinned braid.

The L-2.5CHD is the thinnest cable in the series: at just 4.2 mm outer diameter it still has a solid conductor and low attenuation. It suits distribution cabinets, patch panel links and anywhere many runs have to fit side by side in a tray.

Per the SMPTE table the cable manages 66 m for HD-SDI and 69 m for 3G-SDI; attenuation is 43,1 dB/100 m at 1.5 GHz.

The manufacturer intends the cable for fixed installation: the foil in the shield does not take repeated bending or external pressure. For mobile use Canare offers the Mobile Coax series. The cable is sold cut to length. The green jacket serves to tell runs apart by colour.
