Blackmagic Design Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12x12 is a compact 1U router with 12 inputs and 12 outputs of 6G-SDI. Re-sync on every input enables clean switching between sources of the same standard and also lets you use the unit as twelve independent SDI re-synchronizers. It supports SD, HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p30 and is controlled from the front panel, via Ethernet or RS-422.
Clean 12×12 switching without picture jumps
Each of the twelve 6G-SDI inputs has its own re-sync, so the router switches cleanly between sources of the same standard – no picture shift and no flash.

Re-sync on every input
The router automatically re-times cameras, decks and computer sources that share no common sync. When a source matches the reference standard, the switch is clean, with no picture shift and no flash. All outputs also feature SDI reclocking.
Multiple formats at once
Each input detects SD, HD or 6G-SDI by itself, so SD, HD and Ultra HD signals up to 2160p30 can run on the same router at the same time. Clean switching works between formats that match the reference frame rate.
Control right from the front panel
Twelve buttons are used for local routing, another six buttons and a spin knob for the menus. The 2.2 inch color LCD shows live video plus source and destination labels, so you always know what you are switching.
Remote control and integration
Over Ethernet the router is controlled by free Videohub software for Mac and Windows and by Videohub hardware panels. The RS-422 serial input accepts switching commands from other systems, and the Videohub SDK and Videohub Ethernet Control Protocol are available for custom integration.
Fits any rack
The router takes one rack unit and is only 160 mm deep, so it also fits shallow portable racks. It is powered by an internal 100–240 V AC power supply.
Connections and controls
The rear panel has 12 SDI inputs and 12 SDI outputs, a reference input, Ethernet, RS-422 and USB for updates; the front has control panel buttons, an LCD and a spin knob.
Dimensions and weight
Dimensions 482 × 160 × 44 mm (W × D × H), weight 1.88 kg. It occupies 1 RU in a 19″ rack.

Confidence with mixed, unsynchronized sources
Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12x12 was created for control rooms where sources do not share a common reference. Every input is automatically re-synchronized, so professional broadcast equipment, cameras, decks and computer outputs can be combined and switched without picture shifts or flashes when the video standard matches.
This is especially valuable in outside broadcast vehicles, live production, concerts and conferences where technicians often receive unfamiliar sources. Its 6G‑SDI design routes SD, HD and Ultra HD on the same router, while all twelve inputs can also be used independently for automatic SDI timing.
The front panel combines direct buttons, a spin knob and an LCD showing video previews and routing labels. Ethernet, RS‑422, a reference input and free Blackmagic Videohub Control software extend the built-in controls. Routes are restored after a power interruption.
