The Blackmagic Cloud Dock 4 is a 1RU network dock for up to four separate 2.5″ SATA or U.2 SSDs. Four 10GBASE-T ports make the media accessible to multiple workstations simultaneously, while the HDMI output displays storage status, user information, and synchronization status. The Cloud Dock does not include drives—you select them based on your specific project.
For editing, color grading, and post-production, it functions as shared storage without the need to first copy content from the drives. Through Blackmagic Cloud, you can synchronize selected folders with Dropbox or Google Drive; local workstations then read the data directly over the network.
Shared Media for Post-Production
Cloud Dock 4 shares up to four separate 2.5″ SATA or U.2 SSDs over 10G Ethernet. Use dedicated media for each project and give editors, colorists, and the VFX team fast local access to the same files.

Four independent 10GBASE‑T ports provide fast access even when multiple users are working. The device supports Ethernet over USB‑C for configuration and media access; the HDMI monitoring output displays capacity, user activity, synchronization status, and network data flows.
Selected folders can be continuously synced via Blackmagic Cloud with Dropbox and Google Drive. A local copy of the files remains at each location, so there’s no need to wait for internet transfers during normal work.
Four hot-swappable drive bays accommodate 2.5-inch SATA SSDs/HDDs or U.2 SSDs up to 11 mm in height. The Cloud Dock 4 does not ship with or create a RAID array: these are four independent volumes that you can configure based on the capacity and performance requirements of your workflow.
The integrated power supply and 1RU design make it easy to install in a studio rack or portable setup. Setup is handled by the Blackmagic Cloud Setup Utility for macOS and Windows.

Share up to four independent 2.5″ SSD (SATA/U.2) drives on your network. The Cloud Dock 4 features four 10G Ethernet ports and an HDMI output for monitoring drive status; synchronization with Dropbox and Google Drive makes it easy to share files across locations.
