Ninja RAW combines HDMI input/output, a 1500-nit HDR touchscreen display, recording to Apple ProRes/RAW formats on ultra-fast CFexpress media or external USB storage, along with a complete set of professional monitoring tools and camera control, including touch focus on supported cameras.

Ninja RAW – a compact 5" HDR monitor-recorder that combines professional monitoring and direct recording to ProRes/ProRes RAW in one device. Designed for film production, broadcasting, and content creation – wherever quality and efficient workflow are important. Ideal for content creators using DSLRs and mirrorless cameras with HDMI.

The device features a 5" HDR touchscreen with 1500 nits brightness for excellent visibility indoors and outdoors. It allows direct HDMI recording to Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW formats directly from the camera.

Recordings can be stored on CFexpress Type B media or external USB-C storage (e.g., SSD). It supports ProRes RAW / RAW HQ, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and ProRes LT codecs and is compatible with leading NLE systems.

Ninja RAW also offers USB-C camera control (on supported models), including start/stop functions and access to ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance settings.

The 1500-nit HDR touchscreen remains readable in almost any lighting condition, making it easy to assess exposure, composition, and focus. Tools such as EL Zone™ (false color), waveform, vectorscope, and focus peaking are built in for confident and accurate monitoring on set.

Easy ProRes RAW recording

Ninja RAW records Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW directly from the camera's HDMI output , creating clean, high-quality files straight from the sensor. Recording is supported on CFexpress Type B media or external storage via USB-C for fast and reliable performance. A full range of ProRes codecs is available with seamless integration into leading NLE systems for a simple post-production workflow.

Camera control on supported models

Camera control via USB-C provides access to key settings such as start/stop recording, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and white balance directly from the device. This helps keep your setup simple and compact.

Advanced monitoring and professional tools

For VFX, animation, and work requiring precise shot continuity, Ninja RAW includes features such as Onion Skin overlay for precise frame alignment between shots. These tools help maintain consistency in complex or repetitive setups.
