Zeiss Nano Prime 50mm T1.5 (Sony E) (Metric)

The Zeiss Nano Prime is a range of professional fixed-focal length film lenses for modern full-frame mirrorless cameras (at the time of launch, the lenses are supplied with the interchangeable Sony E mount). All six variants feature a consistent T/1.5 aperture covering focal lengths from 18 - 100mm, and of course, a highly durable design.

Wide focal range
Available in 18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm, Nano Prime lenses offer a wide range of focal lengths, from wide-angle to telephoto.

A cinematic look in every shot
The Nano Prime's high lens aperture, combined with its ability to focus at close range, allows for a fascinatingly shallow depth of field, even in wide-angle shots. Thanks to the T/1.5 aperture and 12-blade aperture, these lenses produce excellent bokeh that allows you to capture fantastic cinematic shots in the style of the Supreme Prime series, making them suitable for even the most demanding film productions, such as those on B-Cam and C-Cam cameras.

Durable and precise construction
Nano Prime lenses feature exceptional optical precision and durable design. Thanks to the compact design, which houses a 95mm thread for the compendium and 86mm for the filter, these lenses can be easily used with stabilisers or drones. Uniform focus and aperture ring placement simplifies lens changes and is complemented by easy-to-read calibrated scales, smooth 280° focus ring rotation and precise 90° aperture ring rotation for perfect alignment.

For challenging conditions
Built for harsh conditions such as cold and rain, the lenses undergo rigorous testing to ensure their durability in the toughest conditions. Nano Prime lenses are a reliable choice for everyday use!

Interchangeable bayonet
The Nano Prime models are equipped with the ZEISS IMS (Interchangeable Mount System) interchangeable bayonet. The lenses feature user-adjustable back focusing with washers and guarantee precise alignment with the scale even on commercial cameras and camcorders that typically have higher tolerances of bayonet mechanics.

Electronic interface
They feature an integrated electronic interface on the bayonet that allows real-time metadata, including focal length, focus distance and aperture, to be transmitted directly to the camera/camcorder. Additional lens data, including distortion and vignetting, is available within the ZEISS CinCraft ecosystem. This information is valuable for post-production (CinCraft Mapper) and is compatible with the newly introduced CinCraft Scenario camera tracking system.

Worldwide service
Zeiss Nano Prime lenses are hand-assembled and meticulously engraved with individually calibrated scales, and are also designed for easy maintenance. In recent years, Zeiss has established a robust worldwide service network, with factory-authorized service stations providing maintenance to factory standards in the USA, Europe and Asia.
