The VariZoom CHICKENFOOT-AL Aluminum Pro Monopod combines the portability of a traditional monopod with the added stability of a tripod base. Featuring a lightweight 4-stage aluminum design, it collapses into a compact form for easy transport and extends from 22 inches to an impressive 79 inches while supporting up to 25 lbs. The fold-down “chickenfoot” tripod base is connected via a ball joint, allowing smooth repositioning and flexible angle capture. Designed for multi-purpose use, the CHICKENFOOT-AL can function as a monopod, tripod, handheld stabilizer, telescoping handheld boom for small cameras, or even a stand for lights and microphones. High-quality twist-lock fittings ensure fast and secure height adjustments, while the tripod base locks into three positions and can be removed entirely for traditional monopod operation. Adjustable rubber feet provide leveling control, and included spiked feet enhance stability on various surfaces. For lightweight setups, cameras can be mounted directly to the flat base, or users can add their own photo or video head—including the optional CHICKENHEAD—for precise pan and tilt control.
