The VariZoom CHICKENFOOTHEAD-AL is a lightweight aluminum 4-stage monopod with fold-down tripod feet and fluid video head, combining the portability of a monopod with the added stability of a tripod base. Extending up to 6.9 ft, it supports cameras up to 25 lbs and delivers smooth pan and tilt performance for video shooting.

The VariZoom CHICKENFOOTHEAD-AL is a compact, multi-function camera support designed for videographers who need speed, flexibility, and stability in one system. Featuring a 4-stage aluminum monopod with a folding “chickenfoot” tripod base, this system offers the quick setup of a monopod with the enhanced balance of tripod feet. The tripod base connects via a ball joint, allowing smooth repositioning for capturing virtually any shooting angle.

Included is a fluid pan/tilt video head for smooth camera movement, making the system ideal for video production. The monopod extends from 26" to 83" (6.9 ft) while retaining excellent rigidity, thanks to its aluminum construction and high-quality twist-lock fittings. The folding tripod base locks into three positions, can be removed for traditional monopod use, and features adjustable rubber feet with interchangeable spiked feet for stability on various surfaces.

The ChickenFoot system can function as a tripod/monopod hybrid, basic handheld stabilizer, telescoping handheld boom for small cameras, or a stand for lights and microphones. It can even be configured as a hi-hat tripod by removing the monopod section and attaching the fluid head directly to the tripod base. A padded carrying case and removable wrist strap are included for safe transport and handling.
