The Tilta Universal Focus Gear Ring adds 0.8 mod gearing to a photography lens so it can be driven by a mechanical or a wireless follow focus. The ring is elastic, double-sided and is drawn tight with a clasp onto whichever lens you are working with.

It stays where you put it

The inner side of the ring is textured so it does not slip on a smooth lens barrel. The clasp is tightened to the size of the lens and the ring stays in place even during fast focus pulls.

Standard 0.8 mod

The gearing follows the 0.8 mod cine standard that Tilta Nucleus follow focus systems and units from other makers are built for. Engagement is precise and the movement quiet, so it does not carry into the sound.

Colour as a marker

The rings are made in several colours. On a rig with several lenses or several cameras this lets you colour-code which ring belongs to which focal length or which position.
