The shock absorbing head for the Hydra Alien Mini is the last link in the chain that keeps the image steady. The shock absorbing arm takes the big hits; the head under the camera takes the micro-vibrations the arm lets through — exactly the ones that otherwise blur detail and make the horizon tremble.

The structure is aluminium alloy with rubber dampers, so it is light and costs the rig almost no payload. This version is made for action cameras from the DJI Action, Insta360 Luna, Insta360 Ace and GoPro Hero series. Besides the Alien Mini arm it can be used with Tilta's electronic suction cup, so it suits shooting from a vehicle, handheld and on a tripod.

Precise mount on the arm

The head bolts straight onto the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm, completing the chain that keeps the shot steady — the arm takes the big hits, the head below it catches the remaining micro-vibrations.

Damping in every direction

A pair of rubber dampers holds the camera flexibly in a cross pattern, so shake from rough ground or a moving hand never reaches the lens.

Light aluminium build

The body is light aluminium alloy, so the head costs the rig almost no payload and suits smaller action cameras too.
