The Basic Kit pairs the full Tilta cage for the Panasonic Lumix GH6 with what you need on day one. It adds a Compact NATO Top Handle with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and secures the HDMI output with a short cable and a clamp bolted to the cage. The cage itself offers a NATO rail, a rosette, cold shoe mounts and clear access to the battery.

Tilta and Lumix: a cage developed for the GH6
The top NATO rail has two built-in 1/4"-20 threads with locating points. Neither a handle nor an arm can twist out of position after hours of shooting, so your accessories keep the same angle all day. The rail is directly compatible with the Tilta Compact NATO Top Handle, which goes on and off without tools — release the lever and the handle slides straight off.

The bottom plate leaves the battery chamber completely clear, so you can swap batteries without taking the cage off, even with accessories mounted. The plate also has a recessed slot for the Tilta magnetic screwdriver — the tool for tightening screws travels with the rig instead of hiding in your bag. A magnet holds it, so it will not drop out while you carry the camera.

Take the bottom plate off and the base of the cage mounts straight onto DJI Ronin gimbals such as the RS 2. Moving from handheld to a stabiliser takes seconds and needs no extra adapter. The base also offers several ways to attach the camera to different quick-release plates and natively supports the Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate Type I.

With the optional Tilta adjustable top handle you switch between horizontal and vertical framing without unscrewing anything. Vertical video for social media comes from the same rig you use for regular sixteen by nine. The sides of the cage carry a NATO rail and a rosette, so you can add a side handle on whichever side suits your grip.

The bottom of the cage meets the camera body at two points and the security mounting attachment near the right-hand grip adds a third. The body cannot rotate inside the cage even when a heavy lens or a monitor arm pulls on it. The right side also carries an M3 thread for the lens adapter holder and a wrist strap holder.
The cage has several mounting points for optional 15mm single rod holders, the lightest way to hang a follow focus motor or a lens support. If you need a full pair of rods, the Tilta 15mm LWS Baseplate Type I is supported by the base of the cage without an adapter. Cold shoe mounts and 1/4"-20 threads on the top and sides take a microphone, a monitor or a light.
The Basic Kit contains the same full cage plus a Compact NATO Top Handle with several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and one cold shoe mount at the front. It also secures your HDMI: a short HDMI male to HDMI female cable brings the port forward and an HDMI clamp bolts it to the cage, so a tug on the cable cannot damage the connector inside the camera body.
