TAMRON 16-30mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Sony FE)

The 16-30mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 retains the mobility and versatility of its predecessor. While expanding the zoom range, it retains its compact and lightweight design and delivers exceptional image quality. This model is designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with Sony E-mount. Availability is expected from August 2025.

The lens offers improved autofocus performance and has been updated to the latest design, improving overall handling. It is also compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility software, allowing you to customize practical features for both still photography and video shooting.

With the introduction of the 16-30mm F2.8 G2 ultra-wide zoom, the holy trinity of the G2 is now complete, along with the standard 28-75mm F/2.8 G2 zoom (model A063) and the 70-180mm F/2.8 G2 telephoto (model A065). Together, these lenses cover an extremely versatile 16mm to 180mm range, making them ideal for virtually any scene. All lenses with the G2 designation are compatible with the TAP-IN bracket.

The two VXD modules, which operate in a floating system and are controlled by electronic pulses, provide fast and accurate focusing on near and distant objects. The new motor also ensures improved AF tracking, for example when shooting sports. The autofocus works so quietly that you can shoot even in situations that require complete peace and quiet.
