The Sennheiser CL 35-XLR is a coiled connecting cable for the EW-DP wireless system: a locking right-angle 3.5 mm TRS jack on one end, a male 3-pin XLR on the other. It connects an EW-DP EK receiver straight into the microphone XLR input of a camera, recorder or mixer. Being coiled, it pulls itself back to whatever length you actually need, so the slack does not sit underfoot or snag on the rig. The locking nut on the TRS end holds the connection in the receiver while things move, and the right-angle body lets the cable leave along the receiver instead of sticking out into space.
Connecting cable
The EW-DP EK receiver puts its signal on a 3.5 mm jack; a professional camera wants it on XLR. The CL 35-XLR is the original Sennheiser cable for exactly that link — one piece, no extra adapter, no extra place for the signal to break.
The coiled jacket pulls itself back, so no loop is left on the rig to catch on things, yet it extends when you need the reach. The locking nut on the 3.5 mm end screws into the receiver, and the right-angle connector takes the cable along the receiver body rather than straight out.
