The Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set is a digital wireless lavalier set for camcorders and DSLR/DSLM cameras. An SK AVX bodypack carries the ME 2 omnidirectional lavalier, and the compact EKP AVX receiver plugs straight into the camera's XLR input. The system configures itself in seconds — no frequency scan, no menus — and the receiver switches on and off with the camera so it does not drain its battery between takes. Audio is 24 bit / 48 kHz with a dynamic range above 120 dB(A) and 19 ms latency. The transmitter runs about 15 hours on its Li-ion pack, the receiver over four. The set is complete out of the box: both rechargeable batteries, the power supply, the CL 400 cable for cameras with a 3.5 mm input, and a pouch.
Digital wireless lavalier set · 1.9 GHz
The AVX pairs itself in seconds. No frequency scan, no channel list, no menu — which is exactly what an interview on location needs. The receiver plugs into the camera XLR and wakes and sleeps with the camera.
Both rechargeable packs are included — BA 20 for the receiver and BA 30 for the transmitter — along with the power supply, the pouch and the CL 400 cable, so a camera with only a 3.5 mm input works as well as one with XLR. There is no shopping list between unboxing and the first interview.
The ME 2 has an omnidirectional pattern, which means it keeps a steady level even when the speaker turns their head away from it — the usual failure of a clipped-on microphone. That tolerance is why it is the standard choice for interviews and documentary work where nobody can stop to reposition anything.
