Saramonic Air 01

The Saramonic Air 01 is a pocket-sized two-channel wireless microphone system for interviews, vlogs and live streams. The kit contains two 11-gram transmitters with a built-in condenser mic, a receiver with a 1.05″ colour display and a metal charging case with a see-through lid. The receiver connects to a camera with a 3.5 mm TRS cable, and to a phone or computer through the supplied USB-C adapter.

An 11-gram transmitter

The transmitter measures 36 × 16 × 13.2 mm, has a fixed metal clip and, in grey, looks like a retro accessory from the nineties. The kit includes two magnets and furry windshields for shooting outdoors.

A receiver with a colour display

The 1.05" colour display shows the key settings at a glance. Buttons adjust gain, noise cancellation level and output mode, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack lets you monitor the sound in real time. Playback works without unplugging the receiver.

A metal case with a see-through lid

The charging case measures 109.4 × 69.9 × 27.5 mm, and the window in the lid shows at a glance that both transmitters and the receiver are in place. LEDs show the battery level, and the silicone plug can be swapped for an optional Lightning adapter stored in the case.

Phone, computer and camera

The receiver connects to a phone or computer with the supplied USB-C adapter and to a camera with a 3.5 mm TRS cable. An optional Lightning adapter and hot shoe adapter can be added. Dual output lets you record and stream at the same time.

Up to 48 hours of runtime

The transmitter runs up to 10 hours and the receiver up to 6.5 hours with the display on, and both can be charged while recording. The 1,300 mAh case recharges the transmitters and receiver more than 1.5 times, bringing total runtime of the kit up to 48 hours with the receiver display off, or 41 hours with it on.

Studio-quality recording

48 kHz / 24-bit recording across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz range, a signal-to-noise ratio above 90 dB and a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB. Quiet passages and louder moments are captured without distortion.

Limiter and backup track

A smart limiter smooths out sudden peaks before they distort. On top of that you can enable a −6 dB safety track recorded as a backup; using it requires separating the tracks in post-production.

Two noise cancellation levels

Light mode reduces steady noise such as wind or keyboard clicks. Strong mode lowers louder background sounds to keep the voice in front. Switch it on the receiver or in the app.

Tone tuned your way

The Vocal Boost, High Lift and Low Bump EQ presets shape the voice without post-production. A low-cut filter at 75 Hz or 150 Hz reduces rumble and low-end noise.

An input for a lavalier mic

The transmitter records through its built-in ⌀ 6 mm condenser mic. When the mic needs to hide under clothing, you can connect the optional Air lavalier microphone with a TS9 connector — its ⌀ 9.7 mm capsule has a diaphragm about 1.5× larger than typical wireless mics. Outdoors, the two furry windshields from the box help.

Paired and ready

The transmitters and receiver are pre-paired and connect by themselves once switched on. During recording the receiver and the phone can be charged at the same time, so a flat battery does not interrupt the shoot. The transmitter indicator light can be turned off in the receiver menu; connection status stays visible on its display.

On camera without the hiss

The receiver powers on with the camera and, with the optional hot shoe adapter, passes digital audio to selected Sony cameras. We recommend lowering the gain on the camera, otherwise it can amplify the microphone’s self-noise. Range is up to 300 m in open space.
