PTZOptics SuperJoy

The PTZOptics SuperJoy joystick controls PTZ cameras over IP, NDI and serial at the same time. Up to 253 cameras in five groups, 9 quick presets and 4 SuperPresets, HDMI output with 1080p preview, an LCD screen and PoE power.

The PTZOptics SuperJoy is a flagship PTZ camera controller that simultaneously drives cameras connected over the network, NDI and serial lines, including models from other makers such as Sony, BirdDog and NewTek. A built-in decoder sends the selected camera to the HDMI output, custom buttons control lights and software, and three operating modes suit professionals and volunteers alike.

Precise control

A rubberised joystick and fine-step dials set zoom, focus, iris, shutter and red and blue gain without opening the camera menu.

Every connection on the back

Ethernet with PoE, RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 for serial cameras, HDMI preview output and a USB service port. Power comes from a 12 V adapter or PoE.

Backlit buttons

Buttons glow and flash to show what is available, so the controller is easy to use in a darkened control room. The large LCD shows controller and camera status.

A controller you can make your own

Basic, Basic Plus and Matrix modes leave operators with only the buttons they need. Custom buttons send TCP, UDP and HTTP commands, automatic triggers link the controller to your switcher, and settings can be exported and re-imported via the network or USB.

Five camera groups

Groups 1–4 with seven cameras each, and group 5 for up to 225 cameras.

Up to 255 presets per camera and 9 quick presets at your fingertips.

Multi-brand

Besides PTZOptics it also controls Sony, BirdDog, NewTek and other cameras.

Hive Studio

Control remote cameras from anywhere in the world via Hive Studio.

HDMI preview. Connect the controller to cameras over the network or serial, and it sends the selected camera to a monitor via HDMI at up to 1080p.

SuperPresets. Send presets to several cameras at once with a single button and reset the whole scene – house and stage – instantly.

A custom button on the joystick. Program the button on top of the joystick to start recording, turn on tracking, dim the lights and more.
