Manfrotto HaloCompact Plus Diff 98cm 2 Stop

Manfrotto HaloCompact Plus LL LR3333 is a portable 98 cm circular diffuser with 2-stop light loss for photo and video portraits, couples, small family groups and product setups. Its rigid aluminium RapidExoFrame slots together and the fabric clips into place for quick setup. Hold the ergonomic handle to soften directional sunlight, or mount it on a suitable support using the 1/4-inch thread and supplied adaptor. The 400 g diffuser packs into the included compact carry case for studio and location work.

A 98 cm, two-stop diffusion surface helps you control directional light without carrying a conventional large folded panel. The lightweight aluminium frame assembles from short sections, so it is ready for portraits and product work and packs away afterwards.

CONTROL LIGHT ON LOCATION

Place the diffuser between the light source and your subjects to soften the light reaching them. The 98 cm surface can moderate harsh overhead sunlight for a couple or a small group, or work in front of an appropriate photographic light. The ergonomic handle helps you position the panel accurately with one hand while working on location.

DIFFUSION IN A WINDOW-LIT SET

Manfrotto’s indoor example compares the scene with the diffuser on the left and without it on the right. The paired photographs demonstrate how placing a diffusion surface in the light path changes the lighting on the subjects; the actual result depends on your source, position and exposure.

SOFTEN DIRECT SUNLIGHT

The outdoor manufacturer example shows the difference between the diffused and unmodified light in the same portrait setup. Use the 98 cm surface to manage sunlight on faces rather than asking your subjects to move out of the location. Adjust the position and exposure for your own scene.

ASSEMBLE, SHOOT, PACK AWAY

The RapidExoFrame construction separates into short sections, and flexible ergonomic clips attach the diffusion cover to the frame. After the shoot, unclip the cover and pack it with the frame in the supplied 29.5 × 10.5 × 6 cm carry case. A carabiner-style clip keeps the compact case accessible on the outside of a camera bag.

CHOOSE YOUR SUPPORT AND SURFACE

The handle’s 1/4-inch thread and included 1/4-to-1/4 adaptor allow mounting on a suitable arm or light stand. Supports and lights are not included. The 98 cm cover is replaceable: this kit contains the two-stop diffuser, not the separately available silver/white reflector.
