The Lumix S Pro 16-35mm F4 (S-R1635) of the Lumix S system is a versatile wide-angle zoom lens that delivers high-resolution images with beautiful bokeh despite its compact size and lightweight design. The lens boasts superb image quality for both stills and movies. On sale from 12/2019.

The optical system consists of 12 elements in 9 groups including three aspherical lenses. The ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lenses and their optimal arrangement guarantee a high MTF transfer function value. It offers exceptionally high resolution even at the corners of the frame with the aperture open, stunning bokeh while suppressing double bokeh and vignetting.

The autofocus is driven by a linear motor with two magnets. Despite its small size, it has high power and a max 480 fps sensor drive for fast and very accurate autofocusing. The FC (Focus Clutch) mechanism allows instant switching between AF/MF modes and very precise manual focusing.

The Lumix S Pro 16-35mm f/4 is also a great choice for shooting video - its mechanism suppresses focus breathing, a major problem with all interchangeable lenses primarily designed for photography.

The rugged dust/splash-proof design can withstand colder climates (down to -10°C) and offers high mobility. The filter diameter is 77 mm and the aperture is composed of 9 blades and has a circular shape.
