Nikon NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE is a special edition wide-angle lens with a classic look that pairs especially well with the Nikon Z fc. On DX format it equals a 42 mm focal length, while on FX it gives a full 28 mm. It weighs just 160 g, is 43 mm long, and its 0.19 m minimum focus distance lets you get close to details.

Like the Z fc camera, this lens combines design details inspired by classic NIKKOR lenses with performance that matches today’s possibilities. Day or night, indoors or out, stills or video – you get sharp, richly detailed images and a style that stands out.

Two formats, two focal lengths

On the Z fc and other DX-format cameras, the lens equals a 42 mm focal length, well suited to snapshots and vlogs. On an FX-format Nikon Z camera, it works as a 28 mm wide-angle lens.

Soft backgrounds

The large-diameter Nikon Z mount, f/2.8 aperture and seven-blade rounded diaphragm create soft, natural rendering of out-of-focus areas (bokeh). A sharp subject stands out against a beautifully blurred background.

Sharp up close

The lens stays sharp when focused at short distances – ideal for stylish food shots and striking portraits. The 0.19 m minimum focus distance lets you shoot with the camera just 19 cm from the subject.

Compact and resistant

At 43 mm long and 160 g, the lens is always ready, with no need to extend it before shooting. The multi-focusing system focuses quickly, accurately and quietly, the control ring can be assigned one of many functions, and the barrel is designed with dust and drip resistance in mind.
