Manfrotto Steel Extension 2-Section Stand

The Manfrotto 142CS is a heavy-duty chrome-steel 2-section extension pole (125–210 cm) that mounts directly onto any Junior (28 mm) receiver stand or C-stand to safely add up to 85 cm of extra height. With thick 35 mm and 30 mm steel tubes and a universal top featuring a 28 mm Junior socket + 16 mm Baby stud + 3/8″ thread, it’s the classic Hollywood grip extension for raising large lights, overhead frames or 12×12 butterflies when your wind-up or C-stand just isn’t tall enough.

The Manfrotto 142CS is the steel version of Manfrotto’s legendary stand extension – built like a tank for daily use. The bottom is a 28 mm Junior male spigot, the top is a full Junior female receiver plus Baby stud and 3/8″ thread and the two massive chrome-steel sections lock with large, secure collars. At 3.6 kg it’s heavier than the aluminum 142B, but nothing beats it when you need absolute rigidity with big HMIs, heavy softboxes or large frames at full extension.
