The Manfrotto 185 is a compact, machined-aluminum double-male spigot that converts any 17 mm (0.67″) female receiver into a standard 5/8″ (16 mm) Baby pin. At only 40 g and 73 mm long, it’s the classic adapter every studio grip kit keeps in multiples.

The Manfrotto 185 is the official adapter for mounting vintage 17 mm socket lights onto modern 5/8″ Baby stands, Super Clamps, Magic Arms, grip heads, or any standard Baby receiver. One end is a full-length 17 mm hex stud (the old European standard), the other is a regular 16 mm Baby stud with 3/8″-16 thread on the tip.
