A star filter has a fine grid etched into the glass that turns every point light into a star with rays. It comes into its own in the night-time city, on Christmas lights, candles or reflections on water. The number and angle of the rays are set by turning the front ring.

The surface repels water and grease, so drops run off and fingerprints wipe away without smears; the coating also stands up to cleaning in the field.

The filter holds on the Osmo Pocket 3 magnetically, straight on the lens collar — it goes on one-handed and stays put when the gimbal is folded. The star has six rays and comes into its own in the night-time city, on shop windows, candles or jewellery.
