Cartoni Focus 8 SDS Carbon System

The Cartoni Focus 8 SDS Carbon System is a complete camera support for set-ups of up to 8 kg. It combines the Focus 8 fluid head with a two-stage carbon fibre SDS tripod, a Smart Lock mid-level spreader, pivoting rubber feet and a soft carrying bag. The whole system weighs 5.8 kg and works at heights of 64–175 cm. It suits lightweight digital cinema and news cameras.

SDS: two stages, one lever

SDS is the fastest one-lever two-stage tripod on the market and is covered by three patents. The Smart Lock spreader with its no-bind design allows super low angles with uncompromised stability.

Patented counterbalance

The Focus 8 head features patented continuously variable counterbalance and fluid drag on both pan and tilt.

Manfrotto and Sachtler plates

The camera mounts on a sliding camera plate compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler plates.

±90° tilt

The head works across a ±90° tilt range and at temperatures from −40 to +60 °C.

Focus 8 fluid head

Continuously variable counterbalance and fluid drag on both axes, a telescopic pan bar and a 75 mm bowl.

Balance control

The back of the head carries the balance knob and a spirit level for levelling the camera quickly.
