With the edelkrone-exclusive Point Tracking feature, you can lock the camera head onto any point while the system moves.

Lock Onto Any Point in Space

As the system moves, Point Tracking automatically adjusts pan, tilt, and focus to keep the selected point perfectly framed, delivering amazing parallax results.

Uses No Image Processing

edelkrone’s Point Tracking technology works solely based on positional data. It uses no image processing—instead, it relies entirely on the positional information provided by the body devices to calculate where to look and focus in advance of the motion. Unlike image tracking, which is reactive, this is a predictive technology.

Tracks Even When Hidden

Thanks to its reliance solely on positional data, Point Tracking can stay locked on a point even when it is not visible. In this shot, the snare drum is tracked from behind the drummer before it is revealed, proving that foreground objects, low light, backlight, or dramatic angle changes don’t interrupt the tracking. This makes Point Tracking a reliable tool in any situation, under any condition.

Point Tracking keeps the camera locked on the performer while the dolly moves through the room, turning a simple home performance into a smooth, directed shot without constant manual control. Whether you’re filming interviews, dialogue, or any other sound-sensitive shoot, the motion stays smooth and silent.

With Krone S, ground movement and vertical motion work together while Point Tracking keeps the subject centered. The result is a calm, flowing camera move that feels intentional from start to finish.

Point Tracking can also control focus during motion. As the camera changes distance, the system automatically adjusts focus to keep the selected point sharp without relying on autofocus.

Compatible Surfaces

Both DollyONE and DollyPLUS performs reliably on general flat surfaces even with minor imperfections such as shallow seams, small cracks, or expansion joints.

Compatible surface types include hardwood, marble, epoxy, large-tile ceramics, polished concrete, and low-pile commercial carpets.

It delivers smooth motion without requiring any additional stabilization beyond the standard finalization typically applied to all motion control footage.

The surfaces featured in these example videos were intentionally selected and modified to be far more uneven and obstructed than what is typically found in indoor environments.

edelkrone dollies are not specifically optimized for such highly irregular surfaces. However, even in these extreme scenarios, the results were achieved without requiring any steps beyond standard finalization. This demonstrates the confidence and reliability you can expect when using the dollies in real-world conditions.
