Cartoni KJ103 Jibo Fluid Action Jib with Case

Portable three-section Cartoni Jibo jib in the Fluid Action configuration. It carries up to 20 kg, weighs 15 kg itself, packs into a case with wheels and sets up in under three minutes.

The Cartoni Jibo is a portable jib built from three sections that slide together and fold into a case with wheels. Setting it up or packing it away takes less than three minutes and one person can do it alone.

Beyond ordinary pan and tilt, the jib adds diagonal tracking and elevation. The camera travels from ground level up to two metres and the reach changes from 122 to 172 cm. The telescopic front arm carries the camera, the extendable rear arm takes up to 25 kg of rubberised gym weights as a counterweight.

In the Fluid Action configuration the movements run through a fluid module that adds a gentle drag and makes the moves more precise. The drag is switched on and off with a lever. The front tongue accepts a head with a 75 or 100 mm ball, and the head can also be mounted under-slung or sideways. The jib stands on any tripod with a 100 mm bowl; adapters for Mitchell and for a 150 mm bowl are available separately. A horizontal lock secures the rig during setup.
