The Canare BCJ-RU is a panel-mount BNC connector for 75Ω video. Throughout this entire series, Canare emphasizes impedance matching—the return loss is 26 dB or more up to 2 GHz, so the signal is not reflected at the panel interface.
This is a direct-wire type: the cable is not connected via a connector but is soldered directly to the jack’s center contact. This contact is made of beryllium copper, which has good elasticity and will not give way even after hundreds of insertions, and is gold-plated.
The flange is ITT Cannon XLR-F77 size, and the mounting is recessed —the jack is set back behind the face of the flange to prevent damage from impact. Canare also manufactures the same jack with a Neutrik D-series flange (BCJ-RUD); both have the same finish, so they can be mixed on a single panel without looking out of place.
If the jack is to be isolated from the panel, use the Canare IU-7/16 isolation set; the mounting hole should then be drilled to fit the IU-7/16.
We sell these individually; the manufacturer supplies this jack in packs of 20.
