Blackmagic Videohub 80x80 12G, a larger 80x80 12G-SDI router that lets customers connect and route any combination of SD, HD and Ultra HD on the same router at the same time. Blackmagic Videohub 80x80 12G features a front panel with shortcut buttons, an LCD which can display labels or live video, a machined metal spin knob for browsing video sources, reference connections and redundant power. Available since 11/2023.
The Blackmagic Videohub 80x80 12G is a large 12G-SDI router designed for studios, production facilities, and technical operations where every source must be quickly routed to any output without the need for cable reconnection.

Electronic switching allows you to connect sources, recorders, monitors, ATEM control surfaces, and streaming processors permanently and reroute signals directly from the front panel, software, or external controllers.
The 12G-SDI interface supports SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats simultaneously on a single router. Re-clocking resynchronizes the signal timing, ensuring the router integrates seamlessly even into larger cable networks.

The 80×80 model is one of the largest routers in the VideoHub 12G series. The built-in LCD display shows live video, labels, and signal standards, giving operators an overview right on the device.
The Blackmagic VideoHub 12G eliminates cable clutter because users can connect all their SDI devices to the router and then make connections electronically. Users don’t need complex system diagrams for their studio, as they can connect any video input to any output, or a single input to multiple outputs. This means that any video source in the studio can be displayed on the monitors. This gives users complete flexibility to handle constant changes or unexpected situations. For example, they can use multiple HyperDeck recorders for redundant mastering or route video to multiple streaming processors for all broadcast platforms. The Blackmagic VideoHub 12G is also a great tool for adding additional inputs to ATEM production suites.
The large 80x80 12G-SDI video router model offers zero latency, supports any combination of SD, HD, and Ultra HD standards simultaneously, and is equipped with a control panel and external control capabilities (Ethernet). The control panel allows users to route video, providing the perfect solution for live production control rooms—including OB vans—where there is no space for additional hardware panels. The front panel is similar to that of the Videohub Master Control Pro and features a rotary encoder for navigating menus, as well as buttons with an LCD display for viewing labels.
Thanks to its built-in LCD display, the Blackmagic Videohub 12G can display live video from all of the router’s inputs. This means users can view all of the router’s inputs as live video before changing the signal routing. Labels also appear below the live video, making it easy to identify the input currently being displayed.
All Blackmagic Videohub 12G models are equipped with an advanced 12G-SDI interface that supports any SD, HD, and UHD video format up to 2160p60 and connects to any device with SD, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI, and 12G-SDI interfaces. With the 80x80 model, users can route up to 80 different video signals to 80 outputs simultaneously. The 12G-SDI interface allows for Ultra HD signal transmission over a single cable while maintaining backward compatibility with older devices. Integrated SDI re-clocking regenerates the video signal to minimize jitter.
All routers in the Blackmagic Videohub series can be controlled remotely; two different types of hardware control panels are available. The Videohub Master Control Pro resembles the front panel and features a rotary encoder, an LCD display, and shortcut buttons. Meanwhile, the Videohub Smart Control Pro model features all the buttons and is typically programmed so that the panel controls a single output of the router, with each button mapped to a router input. If users need an affordable external control solution for the router, the free Videohub Software Control is available. Videohub Software Control is available for Mac and Windows computers as well as the Apple iPad.
