The AVMATRIX SC2031 converts a consumer or computer source to professional 3G-SDI while simultaneously powering three target devices. The scaler adjusts the output resolution and frame rate to match the production chain, ensuring that the signal reaches the control room in a single format regardless of the input source.

In addition to pass-through and up/downscaling, it handles frame rate conversion and deinterlacing—that is, converting interlaced video to progressive scan.

Audio can be added to or removed from the signal, including both digital AES/EBU and analog audio. Basic modes are set using DIP switches directly on the unit, while more detailed control is performed from a computer via USB.
