Featuring a side-address pressure-gradient design with a single 16 mm diaphragm, it delivers exceptionally consistent frequency response and output level from both the front and rear pickup directions, making it ideal for stereo recording techniques, including MS stereo applications.

The Neumann KK 120 Nx is a high-precision figure-of-eight microphone head developed for the versatile Neumann KM modular microphone system. Designed to be used with Neumann KM A analog or KM D digital output modules, the KK 120 offers outstanding flexibility for professional studio, broadcast, and location recording applications.

Unlike conventional small-diaphragm capsules, the KK 120 utilizes a pressure-gradient transducer design with a single 16 mm diaphragm mounted perpendicular to the microphone axis in a side-fire configuration. This unique design allows sound waves to reach the diaphragm directly from both the front and rear, ensuring a highly symmetrical pickup pattern with virtually identical frequency response and sensitivity on both sides.

The figure-of-eight polar pattern makes the KK 120 particularly valuable for advanced stereo recording techniques such as Mid-Side (MS) stereo, Blumlein pair configurations, and other professional stereo microphone arrangements. When combined with compatible accessories and additional microphone capsules, it provides exceptional imaging accuracy and spatial realism.
