The VariZoom VZ-SNAPCRANE9 is a 9-foot (3-meter) modular camera crane and pan/tilt system that combines compact portability with professional strength, precision machining, and smooth cinematic movement, supporting camera payloads up to 30 lbs.

The VariZoom SnapCrane9 is a turnkey camera crane, jib, and pan/tilt system engineered for professional filmmakers who need maximum flexibility without sacrificing stability or build quality. Featuring a compact, modular design, the SnapCrane9 can be configured in up to four different length setups, making it suitable for tight spaces, studio work, or expansive cinematic moves.

Precision-machined aluminum and steel components form a rigid, cable-tensioned jib arm capable of reaching 10' 9" (3.28m) horizontally and 9' (2.74m) vertically. A micro-adjust counterweight system with over 20 inches of sliding adjustment allows rapid and precise balancing without constantly adding or removing plates. (Counterweights sold separately.)

The tilting camera platform mounts via deluxe quick-release pins riding on sealed radial ball bearings for silent, smooth motion and includes a built-in spirit level. The pan/tilt base is engineered with sealed bearings, oversized fasteners, and a heavy-duty variable drag brake system that adds resistance without dangerous hard locks—enhancing safety during operation.

Each crane section connects via machined dovetail joints with redundant safety locks, while stainless aircraft-grade quick-release pins ensure fast, tool-free assembly. The modular cable tensioning system increases rigidity while keeping overall weight manageable.

The SnapCrane9 ships with a heavy-duty padded soft case, individual protective sleeves for each arm section, and includes the DCR100 dolly and TCR100 crane tripod, providing a complete, production-ready crane solution designed for long-term reliability and safe operation.
