Tilta Tiltaing Quick Release Top Handle - Black

The Tilta TA-QRTH-B is a quick-release top handle for Tiltaing half and full cages: it sits on the cage by its cold shoe and one spring-loaded 1/4"-20 screw pulls it tight. It has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads on top and along the sides, a cold shoe front and back and a pass-through for a 15 mm rod to hang a viewfinder or monitor on. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, colour black.

The Tilta TA-QRTH-B is the handle the caged camera is lifted off the tripod and carried by — and a carrier in its own right: threads on top for accessories, a cold shoe front and back and a 15 mm rod through the body for a viewfinder or monitor.

Quick release with one screw

The handle sits on top of the cage by its cold shoe and one spring-loaded 1/4"-20 screw pulls it tight; the spring keeps the screw in the handle so it does not drop out when the handle comes off. Fitting and removing take a few turns and no tools — the camera goes from cage to gimbal and back without a rebuild. It fits Tiltaing half and full cages; on the top plate of the cage for RED KOMODO only backwards.

Threads, cold shoe and 15 mm rod

(Pictured in Tactical Gray.) Along the handle run 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for a microphone, light or receiver, with a cold shoe front and back. A hole with a locking screw passes through the body for a 15 mm rod: a viewfinder or monitor hangs on the rod and sits above the camera, not on the cage beside it. The handle thus carries what would otherwise take up space on the cage.

Tiltaing handles and plates

The Tiltaing range builds the rig around the cage from parts that fit together: side handles with a REC button powered by a Sony F570/F970 battery or USB-C PD, wooden and quick-release top handles, handle adapters to an ARRI rosette, 15 mm LWS baseplates with a Manfrotto or ARCA plate and battery plates with P-Tap and USB-C outputs. They share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and ARRI rosettes. This part is one of them.
