Tilta Vintage Camera Cage for Fujifilm GFX100RF Lightweight Kit - Black

The Vintage Camera Cage for Fujifilm GFX100RF Lightweight Kit is a two-part kit for the GFX100RF: a leather case for the lower body with a sculpted grip, and an aluminium thumb bracket for the hot shoe. The case mounts on a 1/4"-20 tripod thread, protects the base of the camera and leaves the battery reachable through a flap underneath. The leather is Italian vegetable-tanned Crazy Horse. The whole kit weighs 70.5 g.

The GFX100RF is medium format in a rangefinder body — small for what it does, but smooth and short of anywhere to hold on to. This kit answers both at once. The leather case wraps the lower body and forms a grip on the right-hand side that lets you carry the camera in one hand; at the same time it protects the base when you set the camera down on a table or a rock. Inside there is a microfiber lining and a metal frame, so the case keeps its shape and never scuffs the finish. A small flap underneath folds away and gives you the battery without removing the case. The second part of the kit, an aluminium-alloy thumb bracket, slides into the hot shoe and gives the right thumb a firm place to rest.

Highlights

A grip where there was none

The case forms a sculpted grip on the right-hand side of the body. The GFX100RF sits securely in one hand, lens attached.

Protects the base of the body

The leather wraps the lower part of the camera, so the finish stays intact when you set it down. The case mounts on a 1/4"-20 tripod thread.

Thumb bracket in the hot shoe

The aluminium bracket slides into the hot shoe and gives the thumb a firm place to rest. The hold is calmer and handheld shots come out sharper.

Italian Crazy Horse leather

Vegetable-tanned Crazy Horse leather darkens and gains a patina over time. Inside there is a microfiber lining and a metal frame that holds the shape.
