The Tilta TA-T82-TP-B is a protective top plate for the Canon PowerShot V1. It screws onto the top of the body, protects it and is lightweight — aluminium alloy. Protection for the top of the body

The top plate screws onto the top of the Canon PowerShot V1 and covers it with a light yet robust plate of aluminium alloy. The body can take more — in a backpack on the road and when shooting in harsher conditions, where a bare body would scratch easily. The plate follows the shape of the V1 precisely and adds only a little bulk and weight to the camera.

Detachable cold shoe

A detachable cold shoe mount sits on the plate: a microphone, monitor bracket or small light goes on it. When you do not need accessories, unscrew the mount (the 1.5 mm Allen key is included) and the camera stays as small and light as possible — pocketable on the road. It goes back on just as quickly.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
