The Tilta TA-T82-WG-B is a mounting baseplate with a wooden grip for the Canon PowerShot V1. The L-shaped plate screws under the camera body and carries a walnut grip on its right side, so the compact is held and operated more comfortably while staying small and travel-friendly. The Tilta TA-T82-WG-B is an L-shaped mounting baseplate with a wooden grip for the Canon PowerShot V1 — a more comfortable hold for vlogging and travel, with room for an ARCA plate underneath.

Walnut wood grip

The foundation of the part is a walnut grip on the right side of the camera. Your hand has something to hold on to, so the PowerShot V1 is held and operated more comfortably than the bare body — filming handheld as well as shooting stills on the road. The wood feels pleasant in the hand and the part stays compact, so the camera still fits in a small bag.

Bottom plate for an ARCA plate

The L-shaped bottom plate screws into the tripod thread of the camera and accommodates an ARCA quick release plate (not included). With it, the setup easily mounts to DJI Ronin S series gimbals or a lightweight travel tripod such as the Tilta VT-05 with a fluid head. The plate is aluminium alloy; with the grip, the whole part weighs less than an iPhone SE.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
