Tilta Sunshade for Boulder Camera Cart Extended Umbrella (4 Panel) - Black

The 4-panel Tilta Sunshade blackout panel hangs from the Extended Umbrella of the Boulder cart and covers its front and back. It reaches the ground so it can be weighed down with sandbags, hidden magnets join it to the neighbouring panels without gaps, and the monitors sit in a dark space free of reflections — a portable video village that rolls with the cart.

The Tilta Sunshade (4 Panel) is the panel set for the long sides of the Extended Umbrella Kit. It covers the front and back; together with the 2-panel set for the sides it closes the space under the umbrella on all four sides. On its own it cannot be used — it needs the umbrella it hangs from.

Hung from the umbrella, weighed down at the ground

The panel hangs from the hooks around the edge of the Extended Umbrella canopy; fitting it takes a moment and nothing is screwed. The length is chosen so the fabric reaches the ground — the bottom edge is weighed down with sandbags or other weights, and the panel neither flaps in the wind nor uncovers the monitors. The 4-panel version covers the long sides of the umbrella, i.e. front and back.

Magnets join the panels without gaps

Hidden magnets sit in the edges of the panel. Neighbouring panels pull together and no gap is left between them for light to get in. The four front and back panels combine with the 2-panel set for the sides: from partial shading to a fully enclosed blackout space where the director, DIT or focus puller can read the monitor even in bright sun. The panel is black polyester and travels folded in a bag.

The Tilta Boulder cart

The Boulder Camera Cart is an aluminum camera cart with a 400 kg payload that assembles without tools and folds into a case with its own wheels after the shoot. The posts are 40mm speed rails, the crossbars follow the NATO and Manfrotto standards and the trays carry 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads — that is where every accessory of the Boulder family mounts, including this one.
