The Tilta DB-GH-3FS is a Panasonic DMW-BLF19 dummy battery with a 35 cm cable ending in a 3-pin Fischer plug. It sits in the battery compartment of a Lumix GH-series body — GH5, GH5S, GH5 II, GH6, GH7, G9 — and powers it from a 3-pin Fischer output; it is designed for the Tilta Universal Battery Plate but fits any source with this connector. The body runs the whole shoot without a battery swap.
The Tilta DB-GH-3FS replaces the Panasonic DMW-BLF19 battery with a cable ending in a 3-pin Fischer plug. The dummy battery has the shape and contacts of the original pack, seats in the compartment on the first try and draws its power from outside — from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate with a 3-pin Fischer output.
The dummy battery goes into the battery compartment in place of the Panasonic DMW-BLF19 pack: into Lumix bodies that use this battery (GH5, GH5S, GH5 II, GH6, GH7, G9 and the older GH4 and GH3), and into accessories powered from a BLF19 through a battery adapter. The body of the dummy is ABS plastic, the cable has a rubber jacket and the plug an aluminum-alloy housing; the cable is 35 cm long — just right from the compartment to a plate on the back of the cage, with nothing sticking out.
The other end of the cable is a 3-pin Fischer plug that connects the dummy to the Tilta Universal Battery Plate (V-Mount and Gold Mount) — the plate has a 3-pin Fischer output next to its P-Tap and 2-pin Lemo ports, so body and accessories run from one large battery. The dummy is not tied to this plate: it plugs into any source with a 3-pin Fischer output.
Fischer is a locking connector — once inserted it holds and does not pull out when the cable is tugged. On a cage, where cables snag during handling, that is a more reliable connection than a loose DC plug. For plates without a Fischer output there is the same version with a P-Tap plug (DB-GH-PTAP).
A dummy battery has the shape and contacts of the original pack, sits in the battery compartment and brings power in by cable from outside — from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate via P-Tap, from a USB-C PD source, over 2-pin Lemo or a DC output. The body then runs the whole shoot without a battery swap. Tilta's DB series covers Canon LP-E6 and BP, Sony NP-FZ100 and the A9 series and Panasonic GH; this cable is one of them.
