Tilta LP-E17 Charging Station Battery Kit (2 Batteries) - Ash Green

A Tilta set: a charger with two slots for Canon LP-E17 batteries and two Tilta LP-E17 batteries of 950 mAh. The charger fills both batteries at once (one in about 1 h 56 min, two in 2 h 29 min), the LCD display reports the level in 25 % steps and charging stops by itself when they are full. The batteries can also be topped up on their own over USB-C. Colour: Ash Green.

Two batteries in the set

Besides the charging unit, this set contains two batteries (Tilta LP-E17, 950 mAh) and a USB-C cable. Every battery has its own USB-C input, so it can be topped up without the station, and a decoding chip makes sure the camera reports the charge level and raises no unapproved-battery warning. On one charge it lasts several hundred stills or more than an hour of video, according to the manufacturer.

The display shows how much is left in the battery

An LCD display sits on the face of the charger. It reports the level in quarters — 25, 50, 75 and 100 % — and tells charging apart from a fully charged battery. A fault is signalled by the battery icon lighting up completely and flashing, so you spot a bad cell before it goes into the camera.

Two inputs, both batteries at once

The charger has both a USB-C and a Micro-USB input, so it works with whichever cable you have to hand; over USB-C it takes 5 V / 2 A on the QC protocol. It charges both batteries at once at full speed — one takes about 1 hour 56 minutes, two together about 2 hours 29 minutes.

Fifty-one grams in any bag

The charger weighs 51 grams and is made of PC + ABS, so it can simply live in the bag. Once the batteries are full, charging switches off by itself — the charger does not overcharge them and cell life does not suffer. The manufacturer has it certified to CCC, FCC, CE, UL and RoHS.

The charger is made for Canon LP-E17 batteries, Tilta batteries and third-party LP-E17 batteries.
