Tilta Full Camera Cage for BMCC 6K - Black

The full cage is the backbone of the whole range: it wraps the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K body and leaves every port, the screen and the battery free. It comes with an Arca-Swiss bottom plate and the expansion bracket for the battery grip.

Detachable design

The right side arm module can be removed, turning the full cage into a half cage or a bare L-bracket. The lighter build suits a gimbal, the full cage handheld and tripod work. Two screws do it — you need not take the whole cage off the camera.

Works with the battery grip

With the bottom plate removed, the cage fits the body together with the original Blackmagic battery grip. The bottom plate expansion bracket braces against the grip, so the build stays rigid and the camera does not rock even with a heavier lens.

Three points of contact

The top plate meets the 1/4"-20 thread on top of the Full Frame body while two screws hold the cage from below. Three points of contact stop the body from twisting even with a heavy lens or a matte box hanging off the camera.

Threads wherever you look

Around the frame sit 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, cold shoe receivers, an ARRI-compatible rosette and a NATO rail for side handles. Accessories go exactly where you need them and will not rotate out of place.

You build the rig to suit the job: every thread has a locating pin beside it, so an EVF bracket, an SSD case, a run/stop cable, a rod holder or a baseplate will not twist out of alignment.

The bottom plate carries several 1/4"-20 threads for quick release plates and an Arca-Swiss profile, so the camera drops straight into the clamp of a DJI RS 3 or RS 3 Pro gimbal — and from there onto the tripod.

The 15mm rod holder for the battery grip is not included with the full cage on its own; it ships with the Basic Kit and the Advanced Kit.

Note: the BMD EVF does not fully clear the top plate of the cage. Take care when fitting and removing it so the viewfinder is not damaged.
