Tilta Camera Cage for Canon C500 Mk II/C300 Mk III Kit A (Without Battery Plate)

The Tilta Camera Cage for Canon C500 Mk II/C300 Mk III Kit A (Without Battery Plate) is a Tilta cage designed specifically for the Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III. The top plate accepts the camera's top handle, the 15 mm LWS quick release baseplate carries 15 mm rods and mounts to the Tilta dovetail plate as well as a VCT plate, and a battery plate attaches to the back via the rear mounting plate. Kit A does not include a battery plate — add it in the V-Mount or Gold Mount version.

The Tilta Camera Cage for Canon C500 Mk II/C300 Mk III Kit A (Without Battery Plate) (ES-T19-A) arms the Canon C500 Mark II or C300 Mark III with a Tilta cage: top plate, side arm, 15 mm LWS quick release baseplate with dovetail and VCT, rear mounting plate for the battery plate and an adapter for a 19 mm studio baseplate.

Cage for the C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III

The cage is designed specifically for the Canon C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III bodies: it protects the camera from wear and adds mounting points — an ARRI rosette on both sides and 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories. The Tilta top plate accepts the camera's top handle, so you keep carrying the camera comfortably and operating off the top. Note: the top plate is not compatible with the Canon EVF-V50 viewfinder.

Battery plate at the back

The Tilta battery plate for Canon C500 Mk II / C300 Mk III (V-Mount or Gold Mount) attaches directly to the back of the camera body via the rear mounting plate. Besides powering the camera, it provides several different power outputs for accessories. Kit A does not include a battery plate — add it in the V-Mount or Gold Mount version.

15 mm LWS baseplate, dovetail, VCT and 19 mm

The 15 mm LWS quick release baseplate carries two 15 mm rods for a matte box, follow focus and other accessories and has a built-in shoulder pad. It mounts to the Tilta standard lightweight dovetail plate as well as a VCT locking plate (the VCT locking extension is in the kit), so the setup goes onto an operating rig and comes off again easily. The included adapter plate additionally lets you attach the setup to a 19 mm studio baseplate.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
