Tilta Basic Soft Carrying Case for Tilta Mirage

The Tilta MB-T16-SCC-B soft carrying case is the basic case for the Mirage matte box: a semi-rigid nylon shell with a foam insert in which the matte box with its tray and adapter rings travels without pressure marks or scratches. It is the same case that comes with the basic Mirage kit — as a replacement for a lost one or as a second case for another filter setup.

The Tilta Basic Soft Carrying Case for Mirage is the case the Mirage matte box ships in with the basic kit. Inside is a shaped foam insert for the matte box body and its parts; outside, a soft nylon shell with a zip — firm enough that nothing in a bag full of other gear presses on the filter glass.

The foam insert is cut to the body of the Mirage matte box, so nothing shifts inside and the filter in the tray stays protected from knocks and from the other parts. The semi-rigid nylon shell holds its shape and closes with a zip around the edge. The black finish with the Mirage lettering matches the case in the basic kit; for the kit with the VND module and rod support Tilta makes the larger Advanced case.

Mirage is a lightweight matte box for 95 mm circular filters: it mounts to the lens with an adapter ring matching the filter thread, filters sit in stackable trays and an optional wireless motor turns the VND module. The parts of the Mirage family combine — rings, trays, VND, 15 mm rod support and hood all belong to the same matte box, including this one.
