Tilta 15mm LWS Arca Manfrotto Dual Baseplate - Black

The Tilta 15mm LWS Arca Manfrotto Dual Baseplate is the foundation of a rig for filmmakers who switch between tripod, gimbal and handheld several times a day. It carries two quick-release standards in one body — Arca-Swiss horizontally to the DJI standard and Manfrotto vertically with a Snap-In lock — plus a receiver for the Tilta dovetail and a pair of 15mm LWS rods for a matte box or follow focus.

The baseplate is the part everything else stands on: the camera sits on top, the rods run forward under the lens, and the underside bolts to a tripod, arms or a gimbal. This model carries both widespread quick-release standards in one body, so you move between supports without unscrewing anything.

Two standards in one plate

The Arca-Swiss receiver sits on top, the Manfrotto receiver underneath. You never have to commit to one system — the camera stays on the baseplate and only the support below it changes. The kit version also includes a shared quick-release plate for both standards.

Manfrotto locks by snapping in

The Manfrotto receiver uses the new Snap-In lock: the plate is not slid in lengthwise but snapped in from above. The connection holds as firmly as sliding systems but is noticeably faster — which pays off on documentary or reality work, where you go from tripod to shoulder in seconds.

Arca-Swiss to the DJI standard

The Arca-Swiss receiver follows the DJI standard, so the rig moves straight from the baseplate into a Ronin S series gimbal and back. Both receivers have safety pins against accidental release and share one release control.

A pair of 15mm LWS rods

Two 15mm LWS rod ports with a locking screw sit at the front. The rods carry a matte box, follow focus, lens support or battery plate. The plate also accepts Tilta Standard dovetail rails and locks them with its own lever.

A stable base for the whole rig

The body is machined from aluminum alloy with stainless steel locking parts; it measures 98 × 105 × 49 mm and weighs 330 grams. The underside carries 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, so the baseplate bolts straight to a tripod head, an arm or a shoulder support.

Worth knowing

The manufacturer guarantees the fit with its own Arca-Swiss and Manfrotto plates; it does not guarantee compatibility with third-party plates, because dimensional tolerances of both standards vary between makers.
