Product description

The Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling Medium S-B is a ceiling microphone array for mid-sized meeting rooms and classrooms, covering up to 50 m². Automatic dynamic beamforming with 15 condenser capsules follows the talker around the room, audio is output via Dante and analogue, and power comes over PoE. The S-B kit comes in black with a design housing for surface or suspended mounting.

Clear voice from the whole room

A ceiling microphone that needs no table microphones and no cables across the table. The array follows whoever is speaking and sends intelligible speech to the call and the recording.

Surface or suspended mounting

The S-B kit includes a black front plate and a design housing for mounting directly below the ceiling. For high rooms the box also contains a suspension kit and a safety rope, letting the microphone hang up to 5 m below the ceiling.

One cable is enough

The PoE IN/CTRL socket carries power, control and Dante audio. The second PoE OUT socket daisy-chains up to three microphones or separates the Dante network.

Beamforming that follows the talker

Patented automatic dynamic beamforming locks onto the talker and follows them around the room. The talker position is shown live in Sennheiser Control Cockpit and can be used to steer cameras.

TruVoicelift

The talker’s voice can be reinforced through the room loudspeakers so it is heard clearly even in the back rows.

Zones and priority

Exclusion zones suppress sound from areas where nobody speaks, and a priority zone favours, for example, a lectern.

Secure network

IEEE 802.1X, TLS 1.2 and the encrypted SSCv2 API. The microphone is password protected from the factory and audio stays muted until it is initialised in Control Cockpit.

Paintable housing

The metal front plate and back housing can be painted to match the interior. The microphone is certified for Microsoft Teams.
